Since commencing as CEO, the best part of my role has been getting to know our members – listening and learning about how DCA supports you to build inclusive and compliant workplaces. There is one question that has been raised across my meetings – how can we equip leaders with the skills and capabilities they need to foster workplaces where people are safe and respected in an environment that feels increasingly polarised? |

DCA has the tools, resources, events, and education programs to help create inclusive spaces, leaders, and teams – and we are continuously releasing new content to meet these needs.
From 16-20 November we invite everyone to celebrate D&I during Inclusion at Work Week (16-20 November). Registration is now open, and this year we are offering a range of open knowledge programs, including two created specifically for leaders. We are also releasing a new toolkit to provide organisations with guidance on how to make key employee lifecycle points inclusive, and an updated version of our guidelines for creating inclusive multi-faith workplaces.
In this newsletter, I invite you to learn more about some of our recent projects and resources, including insights from our RISE program, resources to mark World Menopause Day, ways to plan inclusive social events, approaches for sexual harassment prevention, and how workplaces can offer family and domestic violence support.
I look forward to continuing to meet with you and learn, and I invite you to reach out and let us know how we can best support you. Cheers Catherine Fitzpatrick (she/her) CEO | Diversity Council Australia

It’s an opportunity to pause and celebrate the incredible efforts of inclusive organisations and D&I practitioners who are helping to make workplaces across Australia safer, fairer, and more respectful. |

Voices from the RISE Project |
RISE (Realise. Inspire. Support. Energise.) was more than a leadership program; it was a project that challenged systemic barriers and created pathways for culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) women to progress in senior leadership. From 2022 to 2026, RISE partnered with 25 organisations, empowering 360 CARM women to address the systems, cultures and practices that shape leadership opportunities. This film shares the voices of participants, coaches, organisational leaders and project partners as they reflect on their journey.

| Building menopause friendly workplaces |
Across Australia, employers are introducing reproductive or menopause leave. While leave is an important piece of the puzzle, it is not the whole picture. In a blog written in advance of World Menopause Day (18 October), Grace Molloy, Co-founder and CEO of Menopause Friendly Australia, shares steps workplaces can take to embed sustainable, inclusive support for women at every life stage.

While domestic and family violence is often viewed as a social issue that happens outside the remit of business, in reality, organisations are not immune to its impacts and there are many things that workplaces can do to address domestic and family violence.

“While DT Global is new to DCA, I am not. Having worked across several DCA member organisations, I’ve experienced first-hand the value of DCA’s insights, resources and community. That experience was a significant factor in my decision to advocate for DT Global to become a member.” - Karla Hume (she/her), DT Global |
