Stop fixing women. Start fixing the systems holding them back. |

Leadership programs, mentoring and confidence workshops have helped many women, but they haven't delivered the gender equality progress workplaces are seeking.
Our blog from Divya Pasupuleti (she/her), Australian Gender Equity Council, provides reflections from our Reframing Approaches to Gender Equality event featuring gender equality expert Professor Michelle Ryan, and shows you how a systems-based approach can create more sustainable and equitable outcomes.

Adelaide’s people leaders exchange ideas about the future of workplace inclusion |
AI, social change and growing legal complexity were among the key topics discussed when Chief People Officers gathered in Adelaide for DCA's latest member roundtable. These conversations are a powerful reminder of the value of connecting with peers to share challenges, exchange ideas and explore practical solutions for creating more inclusive workplaces. As Abbie Wright (she/her), Head of EDI APAC at Arup, said: |
|
|
|
“Arup was delighted to host the Adelaide Chief People Officer roundtable...Leaders enabling equity within their respective firms shared their challenges and successes and explored how DCA supports its members. No surprises that AI is a prominent topic as we look to the future of equity, fairness and belonging. As we navigate growing social unrest, rapid technological advancements and legal complexities, having networks to exchange knowledge, encouragement, and practical solutions are even more critical.”

Removing barriers: DCA’s submission on inclusive employment services |
Through our advocacy and policy work, DCA has submitted a response to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations consultation, highlighting opportunities to create a more inclusive employment services system. The review provides an important chance to address barriers faced by jobseekers and examine the recruitment practices, systems and technologies that can unintentionally exclude diverse talent from the workforce.
